
Everyone knows that MS Office is the standard when it comes to office suite, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only office suite. One of the best alternatives is OpenOffice.org. Besides being free, it has the ability to open and edit MS Office files. The only downside is that you can’t save to newer MS Office files like .docx files. Even with this limitation, OpenOffice can save files to older versions of MS Office (2003 and lower) without problems.
